Confidence is often depleted when you don’t trust your own judgement or abilities to deal with any situation. An example of how this would happen could be: as a child you wanted to do some cooking, but you were only young and your mother rather than just assisting takes over and comments that you are not stirring it right or you can’t beat the eggs. It may have been said with the best of intention, but in your young mind you take these comments to mean you are not capable and over time you will gather further evidence of situations that prove that this is true and begin to build a belief that you are not capable and ultimately not good enough.

The belief that you built although not based in truth feels very true to you. With the use of NLP, EFT & PSYCH-K® these beliefs can be challenged and you will be encouraged to question the validity of these beliefs and that they maybe outmoded. You will begin to see the possibility that they were never true and the primary event that started this dis-empowering belief was misunderstood and therefore the meaning you took and the belief you hold about yourself were not accurate. The result of this could be dramatic in terms of opening up the possibilities around your capabilities and even affecting your views on who you are. Once this primary event is neutralised there is room for new more empowering beliefs and evidence gathering that you are in fact as an adult more capable than you realised and have many good qualities and resources.

How can I build my confidence?

Do not expect to feel hypnotised when you are in a trance. As it is a natural state it will feel familiar and you will not feel completely out of it. In actual fact it is a heightened state of awareness. The hypnotherapist cannot make you do anything against your core values and beliefs and you are always in control.

All hypnosis is self hypnosis.  The hypnotherapist helps to induce that naturally occurring state so that beneficial changes may be given directly to the unconscious mind. You will feel relaxed and comfortable and open to therapeutic ideas that bring about lasting changes and allow unwanted thoughts, feelings, behaviours and corresponding beliefs to dissipate,

    It is dependent on the individual, but EFT and techniques within NLP are very suitable for neutralising phobias

  • Can I use some of the techniques on myself to help my own progress?

    Yes, you will be encouraged to do so and the very act of feeling more able to help yourself allows you to feel more able to let go of a phobia

  • Can you ever really feel comfortable with the thing that you are phobic of?

    Yes, I have seen it for myself.  Once the negative association is neutralised the trigger no longer exists therefore a reaction to the previous phobic thing does not happen
